Lal Bilgili is an Associate with the firm where she advises and represents clients on matters concerning economic sanctions, export controls, customs, CFIUS, logistics, AI, data security, international investigations and national security related legal issues. Lal received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California Law School, where she was the Senior Editor of the Southern California Law Review.
Lal previously worked as a summer legal intern at the firm focusing on international trade law as well as with White & Case LLP in both London and Istanbul offices, where she assisted with multi-jurisdictional M&A and commercial transactions. Lal also previously worked as a legal intern at Credit Europe Bank in Moscow, Russia.
Lal also obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California in Political Science and in Russian as well as a Master of Arts in Human Rights from University College London. Originally from Istanbul, Turkey, Lal speaks Turkish, English, French, and Russian.
