LMD TRADE LAW OPENS AN OFFICE IN ALMATY, KAZAKHSTAN

LMD Trade Law PLLC, a boutique U.S. international trade law firm based in Washington, DC, announces the opening of its new office in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The Almaty office will allow the firm to better serve our multinational clients operating across Eurasia, Middle East, and Asia.

Kazakhstan’s position as a strategic corridor between Europe, Middle East, Eurasia and Asia has become increasingly important for banking, logistics and trade. The new Almaty office is intended to facilitate and better serve the needs of our multinational clients.

ANNA AGAFONOVA JOINS LMD TRADE LAW

Ms. Anna Agafonova has affiliated with LMD Trade Law PLLC as an International Trade and Mediation Specialist.  Anna will support the firm’s sanctions, export control, international transactions and other practice areas.  Anna’s prior experience includes negotiations, mediation and arbitration with an emphasis in international sports.  Anna earned a Master of Dispute Resolution (MDR) from the USC Gould School of Law in Los Angeles, California, where she was recognized as a Global Impact Scholar. She also holds a Master of Science in Applied Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Economics from the University of Southern California. An MC3-Certified Mediator, Anna is affiliated with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), the International Arbitration Association, and the Southern California Mediation Association. She is fluent in English and Russian and conversational in French.  Anna is also a dispute resolution practitioner with the Sports Conflict Institute which works with national Olympic Committees, International Federations, NCAA Division I, etc. and previously worked at Playfly Sports, a leading sports marketing company, where she managed multi-million dollar sponsorship portfolios.
